PALLEKELE, Sri Lanka (AFP) – New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori harmed his right knee whilst attempting a locate in his team’s World Cup Group A win opposite Pakistan during Pallekele track upon Tuesday.
The 32-year-old landed awkwardly as he attempted to locate Kamran Akmal during mid-on after New Zealand set Pakistan a huge 303-run target. He was helped to a sauce room by group officials.
“Dan harm his right knee whilst attempting a catch. He is now receiving ice diagnosis as well as was being assessed,” group media physical education instructor Ellery Tappin said.
